Payment Conditions for Eastgate Guest House
We do need to take your credit card details to secure your booking with the Eastgate Guest House (EGH). The normal procedure is to pay EGH on arrival/departure using cash or a credit/debit card. Upon booking your card will usually be pre-authorised by EGH, however payment will only be taken if you fail to arrive at the hotel and you have not cancelled your reservation, or you fail to cancel your booking in accordance with EGH cancellation policy.
These rates will be charged to your card at the time of booking (including a 3% additional charge for credit cards), and cannot usually be cancelled or amended. Please ensure you check Eastgate Guest House cancellation policy before you book.

Terms and Conditions for Eastgate Guest House
GeneralThank you for choosing to book with Eastgate Guest House. We look forward to welcoming you. When you make this booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below. Please note that a reservation is a legally binding contract and we urge you to take out travel insurance at the time of booking.
THE EASTGATE GUEST HOUSE DOES NOT ACCEPT CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 10 NOR DO WE ACCEPT PETS. WE ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIR USERS. SHOULD YOU MAKE A RESERVATION AND ARRIVE WITH CHILDREN OR PETS YOUR RESERVATION WILL BE CANCELLED WITHOUT A REFUND.
The price includes accommodation and full Yorkshire breakfast. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras are additional. We accept the following forms of payment:
Cash, debit cards, mastercard and visa (mastercard and visa card customers will be charged an additional 3% of the card transaction amount).
Children & Pets:
CHILDREN UNDER 10 AND PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT THE EASTGATE GUESTHOUSE.
Unfortunately due to some past experiences we've taken the decison this year to not permit children under 10 or pets to stay at the Eastgate Guesthouse. We are sorry that we've had to do this and for any inconvenience this may cause.
Cancellation and Insurance:
Cancellation within 10 days of arrival. Full stay amount will be charged, less money recouped through re-letting (30 days at Christmas, New Year and Easter)
Please note that a reservation is a legally binding contract and we do urge you to take out travel insurance at the time of booking.

VIA LETTER (RECORDED DELIVERY TO EASTGATE GUESTHOUSE, 7 EASTGATE, BEVERLEY,HU17 0RH).
We do not accept any cancellations by telephone.
Any cancellations received will be confirmed via email.
IF YOUR BOOKING OUR SINGLE ROOM WITH PRIVATE FACILITIES, YOU ACCEPT THAT IT IS NOT ENSUITE AND THE BATHROOM IS ADJACENT AND WHICH YOU HAVE SOLE USE OF.
By accepting the terms above and proceeding with your booking you accept that you are entering into a legally binding contract with Eastgate Guesthouse.
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Your accommodation is available from 3pm on the day of arrival. Latest arrival time is 9pm. Please let us know if your arrival time changes from the time you originally stated when booked.
Please be ready to leave your accommodation on the day of departure by;
10am Monday - Friday
10:30 on Saturday
11am on Sunday
Unless otherwise arranged and agreed. Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure.
Damages and Breakages:
Please take care with our accommodation. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages that are caused by accident or otherwise. If any damage is caused you are responsible up to the full cost. The cost of damage and/or repair will be taken from the credit card used to pay your bill or the credit card used to secure your booking with us. The above applies to anything that goes missing from the room.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
All public areas and guest bedrooms are non smoking. Should you be found to be smoking in your room a charge of £50 will be made to your credit card to cover the extra cleaning of furnishings and fabrics.
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer.
